Does my employee need a smartphone?

KhayaCare works via WhatsApp and is designed to use minimal data. Any basic smartphone that supports WhatsApp is sufficient.

Who actually uses the service?

The service is used directly by the employee. Once you sign up, we onboard them privately via WhatsApp and they can access care independently.

What happens if my employee does not use the service every month?

KhayaCare is there when they need it. There are no penalties for unused months.

What if my employee already uses public clinics?

KhayaCare does not replace public healthcare. It provides an additional, more convenient option for everyday care and advice when clinic access is difficult or inconvenient.

Will I see my employee’s medical information?

KhayaCare covers everyday primary healthcare needs, including doctor consultations, prescriptions, sick notes, referrals, and basic mental health support. Some plans also include medication and chronic care support.

Is KhayaCare a medical aid?

No. KhayaCare is a primary and mental healthcare benefit, not a medical aid. It focuses on everyday healthcare needs, advice, and access.

How does payment work?

You pay a simple monthly subscription and you are billed monthly with no long-term contracts.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Subscriptions can be cancelled, with access continuing until the end of the paid period.

What happens if my employee changes?

You can update employee details and onboard a new employee.
