The U TEST Prostate PSA At-Home Test Kit screens blood for elevated prostate-specific antigen (PSA), a marker that may be associated with prostate enlargement, prostatitis, or prostate cancer. It offers a quick and private way to check PSA levels before deciding whether to consult a GP or urologist.

This test is intended as a screening tool only and not a definitive diagnosis. Elevated results should prompt clinical follow-up, which may include repeat blood tests, physical examination, or further investigations as advised by a healthcare professional. PSA levels can be temporarily affected by factors such as infection, recent ejaculation, or medical procedures, and a low result does not fully rule out disease.

Men over 45, or those with a family history or symptoms such as urinary changes or discomfort, may find this test a helpful starting point for discussion with their clinician. Results should always be shared with a healthcare provider for proper interpretation and next steps.

1 sealed aluminium pouch containing:1 test device

What it is: A single-person test kit that uses a small blood sample to check for elevated PSA levels.

What it measures: PSA, a protein produced by the prostate that can be found in the blood.

How it works: After a finger-prick blood sample is collected using a lancet, it's mixed with a buffer solution and applied to the testing device. The device detects the PSA level and provides a result in about 5 to 15 minutes.

Interpreting the result: The test typically shows a "positive" (higher PSA) or "negative" (lower PSA) result, based on a cut-off value like
4.0ng/mL
4.0 ng/mL. A "low" PSA is generally a good sign, but a high result can be due to non-cancerous conditions like an enlarged prostate, infection, or inflammation.
